Downtown Charlottesville’s Premier Gathering Space

WEDDINGS/RECEPTIONS

We welcome receptions to from the most formal to the most casual. We generally work with receptions in two fashions, we can help you plan it or you bring your outside vendors. Enjoy a seated dinner or a standing cocktail party with close friends and family in the ballroom of the Old Metropolitan Hall. Before dinner, enjoy cocktails out on the patio or in the bar lounge. Included in your weekday wedding rental is all of Old Metropolitan Hall’s event spaces and amenities, including 5′ round tables, black chiavari chairs, a mobile wood bar, and A/V equipment (speakers, microphones, projector, and screen).

Rehearsal/Private Dinners

Old Metropolitan was designed for the destination wedding rehearsal dinner. With two floors of space and the outdoor patio, we offer a variety of options to welcome your out of town guest. Regularly, Old Met hosts dinners from 40-100 in the ballroom. No matter what the occasion is, Old Met is sure to impress.  Inquire today and lets get the conversation started.

Corporate Events

Old Met Hall’s downtown location is an exciting space for any corporate event or meeting.  Whether it is your holiday party or team training session, we love being the place for our local businesses to gather.  With built-in A/V equipment (speakers, microphones, projector, and screen) Old Met Hall has the space and facilities for any corporate needs.  Feel free to give us a call to schedule a walkthrough of our venue.

Capacity

Max suggested capacity is 175, however, capacity changes with the needs of the event. Contact us today with questions.

Decorations

We encourage each client to make the space their own. We allow any and all decor that does not damage our building.

Venue Fee

Rental fee includes the entire venue, ballroom, bar area/dance floor, catering kitchen and a/v equipment.

OMH is 2 blocks from the Omni downtown, we also offer lodging with sister company,

Set Up/Take Down

Set up usually begins 3 hours prior to the event, however, can be changed via the contract based on need.

OMH often offers shuttle service through sister company,

Alcohol

OMH does not hold an ABC license. Your caterer should be able to discuss your beverage options.

There is parking along the downtown mall, as well as several parking garages.
